Pipe fitting is a general name for the parts that connect, control, deflect, shunt, seal and support the Pipe system.
Classifcation:
Steel pipe fittings are pressure fittings. According to the different processing technology, it is divided into four categories, that is, butt welding type pipe fittings (weld and no weld), socket welding and thread pipe fittings, flange pipe fittings.

Flanges: Flange is a kind of disc parts, the most common in pipeline engineering, flanges are used in pairs. Seal gasket between two flanges and bolt. Flanges of different pressures have different thicknesses and use different bolts. Flanged connections are characterized by being easier to install and remove than threaded connections.
Socket Pipe Fittings: Socket pipe fitting is made of round steel bar or steel ingot machining after die forging. The type of connection is Socket Welding-SW. It insert steel pipe into socket for welding. So it is also called as socket coupling.
Thread Pipe Fittings: Threaded pipe fittings are pipe fittings with thread. Commonly used for water gas pipe, small diameter water pipe, compressed air pipe and low pressure steam pipe.
